19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a torrid year, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in specific - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title after the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt from that period of that year.
The win also signifies he has won 21 victories at 21 different competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children at once, so to win a title is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
His defensive approach and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had caused some to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was concluded.
However the player has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete positively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky opponent, securing 4 of the last five points to take the lead.
Both players traded breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional victory, took control to force a final set.
Moutet defended 4 early chances in a tight third set before the Russian won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he earned the title with a rally at the net, with Moutet incapable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
